영화 <Song for Marion>에서 듣고 알게 된 곡이다. 모르고 지나온 날들이 아까울 정도. 에메랄드 빛 항만에서 배를 띄우고 고대의 심장을 품은 바다를 요람 삼아 흔들흔들 잠이 드는 꿈을 지나칠 수 없었다. ’emerald bay,’ ‘like a boat out on the ocean,’ ‘this ancient heart.’ 바다와 같은 시간을 사이에 두었을 때 누군가 불러주는 이런 노래를 들을 수 있을까? 파도가 쓸어내리는 모래 위에서라도 우리는 이런 노래를 불러줄 수 있을까?
